Becca + Donovan = B.F.F.

Becca and Donovan have been becoming friends lately. He is getting very interested in her and enjoys petting her now. She is very sweet and patient with him and likes to give him kisses. I think she finally realizes that he's a part of the family now. The other day I captured this adorable moment they had.

Donovan's First General Conference

This weekend has been Donovan's first General Conference experience. It has been wonderful getting to hear the words of those chosen by the Lord to lead and direct his church. We've also had the blessing of being able to watch conference in our home this year using our new computer. This has been very helpful so that we can care for Donovan during the sessions. The cutest part was when we held Donovan up next to the computer screen to take a picture and he turned towards president Monson (who was speaking) and reached out towards him. It was adorable. He likes our prophet already!

Guy Smiley

Donovan is one happy guy! He is always such a little ray of sunshine to me. Always smiling and making people happy. Even when he is super tired he'll still flash a smile to just about anyone who pays him some attention. It's so fun getting to see his little personality come out and I hope this shows that he is just a happy-go-lucky boy.

Donovan does Disneyland!

So we decided to take Donovan to Disneyland before our passes expired in September. He did great while we were there and seemed to enjoy all the fun things to look at.

This is when we first arrived. We went to California Adventure to ride the new Toy Story ride but after we found out there was a two hour wait to get on we decided to do something else.

We went to the Blue Bayou restaurant for lunch. It was a lot of fun and we all got to pretend to be pirates.

Donovan did the best pirate impersonation.

When it got too hot we went to the Enchanted Tikki Room to cool off. This proved to be Donovan's favorite part of the day! He really liked watching the singing birds and the enchanted fountain.

It ended up being a lot of fun and by the end of the day Donovan had a great nap!

Put Me on the Filing Cabinet

A few weeks ago my friend Kathleen, who teaches first grade, asked me if I could paint a picture on a filing cabinet for her classroom. I thought it was a great idea! After going and picking out what colors she wanted to use to paint it she got the idea to have me paint a character from Put Me in The Zoo (a children's book by Robert Lopshire). I love that book and the style the characters are drawn in. All and all it was really fun for me to do and I enjoyed myself. It ended up looking really cute in her classroom and I hope her students like looking at it. If anyone else wants a filing cabinet painted let me know! :)

This is the books I based the painting off of.

Here is the end result.

Here it is in the classroom.

Our Latest Family Photo

This was taken by Amber (of course) at her son's first birthday party. I know it seems like Amber is our personal photographer who just follows us around all the time snapping our photos and well that's just about true! Donovan was almost four months old in this photo.

King Donovan

Here's a photo shoot I did with Amber when I wanted a picture of Donovan for a birthday card. I got this crown for the photos and we had fun adding some balloons too. I really like how they turned out!

My favorite one...
