A few weeks ago my friend Kathleen, who teaches first grade, asked me if I could paint a picture on a filing cabinet for her classroom. I thought it was a great idea! After going and picking out what colors she wanted to use to paint it she got the idea to have me paint a character from Put Me in The Zoo (a children's book by Robert Lopshire). I love that book and the style the characters are drawn in. All and all it was really fun for me to do and I enjoyed myself. It ended up looking really cute in her classroom and I hope her students like looking at it. If anyone else wants a filing cabinet painted let me know! :)
This is the books I based the painting off of.

Here is the end result.

Here it is in the classroom.

As soon as I am at a point in my life when I have a filing cabinet, I want you to paint it.
If I was a teacher for sure, but I am definately a mother with a little girl who loves books so I will have to pay attention to which book will end up being her favorite and then you can paint her bedroom. Wouldn't that be super cute. Great job. My mom loves it and all those other teachers are for sure envious.
Now that is talent! Wow! I'm so glad I know you, do I get discounts? haha!
